Great little knife
I use this small knife every day on our horse farm for cutting bales and misc. work including the occasional slicing of a vine or root. It clips securely in my jeans or coat pocket for easy reach, stays sharp, and flips open even with winter gloves on. Liked it so much I ordered a second one when I lost the first. One minor flaw -- the bar that's inside it has two raised bumps to hold it in place, but on my first one they weren't quite high enough and the bar occasionally slipped out. Just wrap a strip of tape around it once and it wedges back in just fine. I also had the larger version of this knife, too. Just found this one less bulky and more convenient.

Another High-value knife
I added this folder to my collection of folding tacticals, and am glad that I did. I made a mistake when I ordered and did not pay attention to the size! Make sure you order the size you need. I have big hands, and I accidentally ordered the small model - KC took care of it and sent me the large one as soon as I notified them of the error. By "High-Value" I mean you get more than you pay for. This model is a great design, works perfectly well, is made of quality materials, and looks to be well made(put together), and is relatively low in cost. I'm glad I finally got the large one (and it isn't any too big for me). For the price, you have no excuse for not having at least one of these - they really are a great design and are well-made.

Opening mechanism leaves much to be desired
The quality of the blade is excellent. Stands up to the shaving/prying/cutting I have to do on the fly in my telephony work. But the assisted opening is difficult- it flies open, but the studs on either side of the blade are hard to manage whether you try a wrist-flicking, singlehanded open or a "pry open" with two hands. The knife is sturdy once opened into its locked position. This knife would have benefitted from just being a standard folder/lock. You can't even elect to use it that way (ignore the assisted open mechanism entirely) b/c there is no notch on the blade to pinch & pull it out. BTW the belt clip is strong as heck -great for denim pockets but has to be handled with care if you're wearing khakis or pants of thinner material.
