UC1184: Black Ronin Ninja Sword Slimline Machete
United Cutlery

The Black Ronin Ninja Sword is named after the rogue samurai warriors who wandered without a master throughout Japan. This item measures a 26 7/8" long and features a 17 1/8" full tang blade constructed from tempered 420 stainless steel with coated non-glare black finish. The grip is traditionally hand-wrapped and tied with black nylon cord. This sword also includes a fiber-reinforced nylon sheath with lashing grommets and fully adjustable nylon shoulder and leg straps. An excellent addition to your ninja collection!

Absolutely Legit
Product is exactly as described and totally bada**. I'm a photographer who loves to pose others with swords and these are exceptional. The blade length has a very ninja feel and with two in hand its a pretty menacing image. It would be sweet to see a (totally impractical) 6ft version of this sword. Kind of like the one your character could wear in Halo3 Online. The handle its a bit hard to hold when chopping due to the small diameter (doesn't feel very nice) but I think it's meant to be more of a two handed slasher so I have no complaints. Amazing. Thank you.

Great as practice short sword
This is clearly a cross between a short sword and machete. I purchased them for double sword practice hoping they would be a little heavy to build strength and agility. They are serving perfectly for my purposes. The standard is a bit odd if one was actually trying to use it as a machete or as a tactical sword. Perfect storage for my purposes. The hilt windings are a bit loose, making for sloppy handling. I will probably rewind them more tightly using some tack on the inner facing. The steel is very good and very sharp. I haven't used them for machete cutting so I can't comment on how well it keeps its edge, but given the quality of the steel, I bet it is pretty good. I am very happy with my purchase and feel like I got quite a bargain. If handling is impetative, plan on rewinding the hilt cords.

grip solution
when this blade first hit markets I bought one. still have it.the hard scabbard it a must. mine has some wear on it but it hold the blade perfectly. don't buy the ones with a soft sheath. my fix for the grip is. 550 paracord. wrapped tightly around. this give you the needed cord for survival needs. and you can wrap it to fit your grip. plus the cord absorbs the vibration from hacking wood. a friend with a similar style blade used hockey tape. overall. cheap and very effective
