Great collector's piece
To the two kind people who reviewed this product before me: Gil Hibben knives are not generally bought for combat/utility purposes. They are collector's items bought purely based on aesthetics. While anything with a sharp point can be made a weapon, suffice it to say, some sharp things are bought just to be visually admired. I repeat: this model like most of his work are not "combat/battle ready" and are bought simply for display. That entails no high carbon steel, no sharpening, and lack of tang. The high-end price is derived from thr high-end craftsmanship that went into to making an eye-catching design such as this or so many of his other works. Hope this helped. Good day

Pros: Handle Material, Weight, Sheath/Scabbard
Cons: Overall Quality, Blade Sharpness, None
Came apart after light use
The tang nut backed right out on me after some light use. Love the design. So much, in fact that I bought two, one to have and one to hold. The sheath is excellent. When I took the tang nut off and removed the handle I was horrified to see how small and delicate the tang is. Its damn pretty but leave it in the box or it will fail you.

Pros: Materials, Handle Material, Sheath/Scabbard, Finish, Weight, Overall Quality, None
Cons: Blade Sharpness, Blade Material
Love the design of this knife however not sure what to think of the rat tang thru bolt tang design. i think this could be a problem if any kind of strenuous use is put on this knife. However, if all that is wanted is a collectible this is a great representation of the movie knife. i might have used a different steel also but again for what it is not bad.
