UT23079GB: Big Pine Series | 4-3/16" Trapper
Utica Cutlery Company | Makers of Kutmaster Knives & Tools

Lavish, deep green, jigged bone handles set the Big Pine series apart from any other knives found today. Blades are crafted from 1095 high carbon steel with a taper ground razor edge. Classic Utica war shield is embedded into one side of the handle on most models. Bolsters are solid nickel silver.

1095 Carbon Steel
1095 Carbon Steel
An excellent hard use steel, 1095 is a primary choice for camping and larger fixed blade knives for its extreme toughness and ability to hold an edge. Corrosion resistance is very limited with this steel (it will rust) and most blades come with a coating to prevent premature rusting.
Bone Handles
Bone Handles
One of the most common natural materials used in knife making, bone handles are usually textured to provide grip and can be dyed almost any color.

Fit and finish is excellent blades open and close easy. No blade play sideways or up and down. Blades snap open and closed. The 1095 blade steel past the cardboard cutting test. Utica done a excellent job on this knife keep up the good work. The service from Knife Centre was super. I am a happy camper.

Thought it could have been better.
I bought this knife a couple weeks ago and still trying to put a sharp edge on it. I don't mean a razor sharp edge just a edge that will cut. It's kinda hard to open also. Other then that the knife feels and looks like its gonna last a really long time. Thanks
