Pros: Overall Quality, Locking, Blade Material
Cons: Sheath/Scabbard, None
Outstanding game and fish knife!
This excellent knife has the one-hand opening you may be familiar with from the Swiss Army Trekker knives, except this one incorporates a locking gut hook with a blunt, rounded edge that keeps you from accidentally piercing any of the internal viscera. It incorporates the same saw as the Trekker with is useful for cutting small bones and cartilage. It does away with the traditional Swiss Army toothpick and tweezers, which I never use and commonly lose, which always p*sses me off. The handle is a durable plastic like that of the Victorinox German Army Knife but with the addition of the small non-slip pads. The blade is non-serrated, which is a feature hard to find on the Trekkers. Overall, worth every penny and gets a lot of use all year long. Mine came with a nylon belt pouch with a Velcro closure. I would recommend a snap closure instead as the Velcro fills up with dirt and debris in the field.
