White River Knives

The BackPacker is an extremely versatile, tough (S30V) and light weight knife. A 'cross over' knife, it is well suited for hiking, hunting, tactical and more. The handle is wrapped in paracord for lightweight comfort and grip. Popularized by U.S. troops, paracord is strong, durable and mildew resistant which makes it an excellent choice for a knife handle. Comes standard with black paracord handle but several colors are available at no extra charge. Comes with a custom molded Kydex sheath for up, down or sideways carry.

Kydex is an extremely durable material that stands up to the toughest use without gouging or scratching. It's easy to clean up without damaging the surface or compromising the sheath. The Backpacker sheath design allows you to wear it on a belt in two ways, with the knife handle pointed up or parallel to your belt. It can be fixed for both a right and left-hand grab. You can also string paracord through the sheath and hang the knife from your neck without worrying the knife will slip out.

Possibly the perfect neck knife
I'm an outdoor guide. I've bought and used several of the most popular "neck knives" because I like the concept. I spend most the day sitting in kayaks and small boats, and having a knife right there is always important. Every one I've used has had something I didn't like going on with it: too heavy, uncomfortable to use, crappy sheath, rust prone, or too obstuse of a grind to use for camp chores such as food prep or small game/fish processing. This knife is quite possibly the perfect application of the concept. Light, perfect blade shape and grind, nice sheath with excellent retention, and very high quality stainless steel with a great heat treat. I'll probably be getting a few more for back ups and gifts! Fantastic knife.

High quality knife at a budget price.
I use it as both an EDC and an oh **** knife. Where else are you going to get S30V steel with a kydex sheath for well under $100? Love it!

S30V alternative to izula
The S30V allows this knife to be pretty thin, but still retain a very hard and "stiff" blade. Most knives of this thickness but made of other steels, can be "flexed" or "bent" by hand. You're going to have a really difficult time trying to do the same with this knife. It retains an edge like a knife possessing a much thicker edge. The kydex sheath is mated perfectly to this knife. Although it doesn't fit the standard blade-tech type belt locks that just about all kydex sheaths do, it does have an adjustable kydex belt "clip". the total profile of the knife and sheath is ultra sleek and thin. I think the standard belt locks would have made the profile too bulky. I'm ranting... overall HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ! Great almost custom type design and top tier steel for very cheap price.
