Zero Tolerance Knives
You wanted to see the 0566 in BlackWash. We're happy to oblige. Here it is with the finish that gives it the look of a favorite pair of well-worn jeans. But don't let the look fool you. This is a piece of precision machinery.

The blade S35VN stainless steel that's strong, wear resistant, corrosion resistant, and tough. This high-end steel ensures the user of a sharp, reliable edge that will last a long time. And with the BlackWash finish, the 0566BW has a discrete, matte look.

For a secure grip, the front scale is textured G10. The back is all stainless steel with a sturdy frame lock and lockbar stabilizer. The 0566BW opens quickly and easily with our assisted opening system.

The 0566BW offers Zero Tolerance's quad-mounting system so users can choose tip-up/tip-down, left- or right-handed carry. And because it's a deep-carry clip, the knife will sit comfortably down in the pocket.

Designed by Rick Hinderer and built tough by Zero Tolerance, the 0566BW is built for pure performance in an EDC-perfect size.

Please note: this model was first made with ELMAX blade steel; you may still find some of these blades in the marketplace. All current production is shipping with S35VN.

De-Assist Update
Just deassisted the knife. Much easier to do than I imagined. Backed out G10 side screws, popped out spring, closed it back up to desired pivot tension. Stayed well centered. All functions seem easier, smoother, and more enjoyable. Even thumb stud opening is easy and smooth. Can't put it down now. Knife was clearly designed to work either way. Standard light flick of the wrist and it snaps open.

Pros: Pocket Clip, Blade Material, Handle Feel, Weight, Ease of Opening, Overall Quality
Cons: None
Firstly, I am a huge fan of Knifecenter. First on my website suggetions. Feels like Christmas each time that little orange box arrives. Had this knife a while now. Has nudged my Spyderco PM2 out of it's position in my pocket. Have Ontario RAT 2, CRKT M21-12G, Emerson CQC-8, Spydie PM2... With a bit of time, it's becoming more and more my go-to. Love my PM2, has exotic quality feel, but something not tough enough about it in hand is made up for in spades by the 0566. "Built like a tank". Snaps open with authority. Not ultra sharp like Spyderco out of box but a few strokes on ceramic gets it on par. Closing with frame lock can be tough but no fear of unintended closure as is very strong. Steel seems very good. S35VN isn't too hard to sharpen and holds an edge. No regrets on purchase. Excited to upgrade with carbon fiber scale and bullet LBS as seems quality enough for the expense, perhaps even titanium parts eventually if it continues to perform. Love it. Best looking knife I own. It's a show piece. Gorgeous. Buy one. As always, support local business.
