Zero Tolerance Knives
Zero Tolerance and Emerson Knives put their hard-use heads together to create the 0620.

It features a blade of ELMAX powdered steel in a modified tanto style. ELMAX provides the extreme edge retention, high strength, and toughness a hard-use knife demands. High wear resistance in a steel usually means low corrosion resistance, but not with ELMAX. With this advanced steel, you get both properties—which makes it an excellent blade steel. DLC coating enhances performance even more and makes the blade non-reflective.

Of course, the 0620 features the patented Emerson "wave shaped feature" that enables the knife to be opened as it is removed from the pocket. By the time the knife has been fully withdrawn from the pocket, the blade is deployed and ready for use. A small wave-shaped tab on the top of the blade is built to catch on the pocket seam, opening the knife as it comes out of the pocket. This Emerson instant-open feature is a favorite among military, rescue, and law enforcement knife users.

The handle features a machined G10 front scale with a stonewashed titanium back. Blade lock up is ensured with a sturdy frame lock. Hardened steel inserts in the lockbar make it extra durable.

Frame Lock
Frame Lock
Developed by Chris Reeve, it functions like a liner lock but the lock is comprised of one of the handle scales. It's an extremely strong and easy to manipulate lock.
Pocket Clip
Pocket Clip
Includes a pocket clip for easy accessibility and a more secure carry.
Titanium Handles
Titanium Handles
A nonferrous metal, it's prized for its high strength to weight ratio and is often used on higher end knives.
Extremely fine grained powdered metal that strikes the balance between edge holding and corrosion resistance perfectly. Much more likely to get a rolled edge than have a chip develop.

Perfect EDC folder
Until I purchased this knife, I had used an Emerson folder as my EDC. The primary reason for this was the near instant opening mechanism, namely the tab at the top spine of the knife. However, this ZT knife has that same mechanism due to a collaboration with Emerson. The quality of this ZT knife is hands-down better than the Emerson. ZT has produced a folder that has ZT quality with the Emerson tab, combining the best of both companies. There's no doubt that for me, I can deploy this knife instantly when it leaves my front pocket. But now when I do so, I have the fit, finish and quality of a ZT. The Emerson, by comparison, is rough and gritty, not well put together and although it still operates, it's like comparing an old bucket of bolts to a brand new Mercedes. Both work and there's some sentimental value to the Emerson, but it's of inferior quality.

ZT wave
Never had a wave knife before and it really works. As a matter of fact be care pulling it out even if not trying to open it it may partially open. ZT is a beast very solid. I am still not thrilled with different colors on the 2 sides but whatever. It cuts hay string and open mail.

The quality and function you'd expect from ZT and Emerson
This knife is part of my EDC and is replacing an old Timberline Kelly Worden designed knife that I've carried for 8+ years. This ZT/Emerson blade with well worth the money I paid for it and I can't be happier with it. Sharp as sh^t out the box and the draw and "wave" open are smooth, although still a little stiff since I haven't worked with it much... it could just be me needing to get used to it. The two different handle materials might throw some people off, but I don't think it's that big of a deal. The pocket clip can be used on either side of the knife, but doesn't come with the tool to do the switch... good luck lefties! Once I get my draw figured out, this knife will be 110% awesome! (It's @ about 91% right now). A great buy and I have recommended it to friends, family, students and people on the street.
