ZT0620: 0620 ZT/Emerson
Zero Tolerance Knives

Zero Tolerance and Emerson Knives put their hard-use heads together to create the 0620.

It features a blade of ELMAX powdered steel in a modified tanto style. ELMAX provides the extreme edge retention, high strength, and toughness a hard-use knife demands. High wear resistance in a steel usually means low corrosion resistance, but not with ELMAX. With this advanced steel, you get both properties—which makes it an excellent blade steel. DLC coating enhances performance even more and makes the blade non-reflective.

Of course, the 0620 features the patented Emerson "wave shaped feature" that enables the knife to be opened as it is removed from the pocket. By the time the knife has been fully withdrawn from the pocket, the blade is deployed and ready for use. A small wave-shaped tab on the top of the blade is built to catch on the pocket seam, opening the knife as it comes out of the pocket. This Emerson instant-open feature is a favorite among military, rescue, and law enforcement knife users.

The handle features a machined G10 front scale with a stonewashed titanium back. Blade lock up is ensured with a sturdy frame lock. Hardened steel inserts in the lockbar make it extra durable.

The quality and function you'd expect from ZT and Emerson
This knife is part of my EDC and is replacing an old Timberline Kelly Worden designed knife that I've carried for 8+ years. This ZT/Emerson blade with well worth the money I paid for it and I can't be happier with it. Sharp as sh^t out the box and the draw and "wave" open are smooth, although still a little stiff since I haven't worked with it much... it could just be me needing to get used to it. The two different handle materials might throw some people off, but I don't think it's that big of a deal. The pocket clip can be used on either side of the knife, but doesn't come with the tool to do the switch... good luck lefties! Once I get my draw figured out, this knife will be 110% awesome! (It's @ about 91% right now). A great buy and I have recommended it to friends, family, students and people on the street.

Pros: Blade Sharpness, Lock Type, Handle Material, Overall Quality, Pocket Clip, Ease of Opening, Handle Feel, Weight, Lock Ease of Use, Blade Material
Cons: None
Great Knife
The knife is very sturdy and extremely sharp. For a knife that is over 6oz, it certainly feels lighter in hand. The wave feature works as advertised. The coating is also very nice. I love this knife. Only bad thing would be some very light chatter marks on the bottom of the titanium liner on the g-10 side, otherwise perfect. Super smooth

Great knife
This knife will replace my 0350ts and SOG AEGIS as my EDC. This knife is based on the Emerson but has none of the weaknesses of the Emerson. It has everything that's great about an Emerson with Zero Tolerance's very high build quality. This knife was sharp enough to slice paper out of the box. ZT makes some of the strongest folder knives in the world, this knife was a steal considering the overall quality of it. To top this knife you would have to spend a few hundred dollars or more. I'm not much on finish but this knife was gorgeous out of the box with a perfect feel and balance. Another homerun for ZT. The delivery was very fast. The fastest I've seen for an online retailer. You can't go wrong with this knife or buying from KnifeCenter.com .
