ZT0801BW: Model 0801BW
Zero Tolerance Knives

The all-metal, all-the-time look of the Zero Tolerance 0801 is even better in Blackwash.

Premium ELMAX® stainless steel enables ZT to give the 0801BW a blade with a razor edge, excellent edge retention, strength, and toughness. The ELMAX blade is paired with machine-grooved titanium handles for a secure grip—and with a matching Blackwash finish, of course. A sturdy frame lock with hardened steel lockbar insert secures the blade open during use.

The blade deploys using the built-in flipper. Just pull back on the flipper and the razor-sharp ELMAX blade rotates out of the handle on ZT's glass-smooth KVT ball-bearing system. No springs required; just simple, one-handed opening. The 0801BW pocketclip is designed for deep carry and is reversible for left- or right-handers. Decorative pivot hardware completes the 0801BW's handsome look.

The new Blackwash finish gives the 0801BW the look of a well-worn favorite tool, while its top materials, Todd Rexford design, and ZT excellence are sure to make it your new favorite.

Frame Lock
Frame Lock
Developed by Chris Reeve, it functions like a liner lock but the lock is comprised of one of the handle scales. It's an extremely strong and easy to manipulate lock.
Pocket Clip
Pocket Clip
Includes a pocket clip for easy accessibility and a more secure carry.
Titanium Handles
Titanium Handles
A nonferrous metal, it's prized for its high strength to weight ratio and is often used on higher end knives.
Extremely fine grained powered metal that strikes the balance between edge holding and corrosion resistance perfectly. Much more likely to get a rolled edge than have a chip develop.

Pros: Handle Material, Handle Feel, Blade Material
Cons: Ease of Opening, Pocket Clip, None
The knife is high quality but it is extremely hard to open. If your hands are sweaty, you may not be able to open at all. I should have gotten the Benchmade Osborne 940.

Pros: None
Cons: Lock Ease of Use, Ease of Opening
Painful to release
I just open my new zt 801 bw out of the box and it is down right painful when pressing the hinch for release. It's built solid but not practical with the effort it takes to open. I should have gotten the benchmade osborne.

Great, I have 4
Useful? YES! I have four, two black and 2 "Silver". the reviews are spot ON. I would not have gathered these if I did not think that these are top notch. Very sharp, very, very quick due to the flipper.
