Description
BO01BO296: Boker Plus Kwaiken Flipper Folder VG10
Boker Plus

After the overwhelming success of the Kwaiken Folder, Lucas Burnley went back to the drawing board and designed this version. This exclusive model features a VG10 steel blade with a flipper, and sleek titanium handle scales. Liner lock mechanism. Includes pocket clip. Burnley, whose most popular model is a fixed blade Kwaiken, wanted to translate his typically slim concept into a folding knife, without drastically changing the proportions. The result is a design that has fascinated us at first glance! This knife will surely prove that a slim handle doesn't have to compromise excellent ergonomics!

Pros: Blade Material, Lock Type, Overall Quality, Pocket Clip, Lock Ease of Use, Handle Feel, Handle Material, Blade Sharpness
Cons: Sheath, Ease of Opening, None
Great looking knife. Good quality. Nice heft to it, though slightly on the heavy side. Opening a little stiff, easily sorted with practice. Uses: hard to define -probably comes under the heading of 'just in case'

Pros: Overall Quality, Blade Sharpness, None
Cons: Ease of Opening
i'm not sure what to say here. clearly an excellent knife. mine is new and does not completely open as in the video on youtube. perhaps a few more years of use? my tastes run towards the practical, mundane and tool like knives. this ;however, is based on a beautiful and timeless design meant to be warn by warriors as an addition to ( i think ) the samurai sword. adding a serrated portion to the blade might be considered sacreligious. still....hard to argue with a design that has been around for awhile and has such a rich tradition behind it. art. yes. quality. excellent. modern. not sure.
