Description
CKFRATATABLK: Alexey "Ratatuy" Konygin Ratata BLK Flipper
Custom Knife Factory

Custom Knife Factory might sound like an ambiguous name but it's definitely one worth remembering. Their knives are mid-tech by definition but the quality definitely borders on full custom. They have a CNC machine shop in China that does some of the legwork but all the hand fit and finishing is done in house in their Moscow shop. They use top–of–the–line materials made in the USA and designs from some of the most talented knife designers in Russia.

The Ratata is the son of the T92, one of the best Alexey Konygin designs to come from Custom Knife Factory. It features superior flipping action, one of the best steels on market, excellent fit and finish and it has an extraordinary blade to handle ratio. The 3.66" flat ground blade is made from M390 stainless steel with a black stonewashed finish and very utilitarian drop point shape. The handle is titanium with a subtle, yet pleasing milled pattern and black stonewashed finish. Both the face scale and frame lock have internal lightening pockets to reduce the overall weight of this blade. The pocket clip is what we really like about this design. It's a milled titanium pocket clip that functions like a spring clip being very easy to get this knife in and out of the pocket, so it's the best of both worlds. The Ratata features a ceramic caged bearing pivot system, replaceable steel lockbar insert that doubles as an overtravel arrestor and blacked out hardware. It's definitely tactical in nature but the thin profile, relatively lightweight and ultra-fast action make this a great EDC knife for people preferring larger knives.
