FFABCHV: Archbishop Entry Level Flipper, Chevron
Ferrum Forge
The Archbishop flipper is the next great way to get into a mid-tech Ferrum Forge knife without the high cost of a full-on custom. This knife still features hand finishing, top of the line materials and the superb fit and finish of all Ferrum Forge knives. The handles are solid titanium with a steel lock insert with integral overtravel arrestor and ceramic Hoback Rolling Detent. Chris and Elliot decided to go back to 20CV as the blade steel since it's tried, trusted and happens to be one of their favorite steels. The Archbishop combines the aggressive drop point shape that we all enjoyed so much about the Fortis and 20CV with Elliot's continued design refinement and the added option of thumb deployment using the cutout in the blade. The features, manufacturing quality and attention to the most minute of details are something that sets Ferrum Forge knives apart from all others. The value their knives provide are truly unmatched in the industry.

This is of course a flipper first design and the action is made buttery smooth by the thrust bearings which also assist in the knife's strong lockup. The 3.56" blade is made from CPM-20CV stainless steel with an excellent drop point shape, plenty of belly and a nice sized finger choil. The finish on this blade is bead blasted with a heavy stonewash similar to the Hinderer working finish. It gives the blade a very handsome, sterile look and it appears to be one that will wear well over time. This model features a sturdy chevron milled titanium handle with chamfered edges, a compact bent titanium pocket clip and titanium standoffs/pivot screw. No detail is overlooked in a Ferrum Forge product and this Archbishop Flipper is another excellent design for anyone looking for a top notch everyday carry or tactical knife at a very good price.

Pros: Lock Type, Pocket Clip, Handle Feel, Ease of Opening, Blade Material, Weight, Lock Ease of Use, Overall Quality
Cons: None
Fantastic quality, built to last!
One of a couple FFKW knives I have. This one is very well thought out and a perfect EDC. Steel lock insert, replaceable and adjustable ceramic HRD, along with the construction, it is built to last forever. Love the big finger choil in the blade, helps so much for bearing down to cut. Did not come very sharp, but took less than 5 minutes to get hair popping sharp. I found that it really shines with a perfect V apex edge rather than a convex, but both get the job done. Very smooth and sturdy. Has become a favorite in my rotation very quickly, and it has some very heavy competition!!! Don't hesitate to pick one up!

Another great knife
Very high quality knife that is refined to say the least. The only fault I have is that there is no jimping on back of the blade!
