KUKI412A3: Ki412A3 Bolt Folding Knife, Blue Rainbow
Kizer Cutlery
Sleek and fast, the Bolt conceals the beauty of its speed in the 3D contour of its handles that mold itself to your hands. Almost like a set of prayer beads, you will find the Bolt's calming presence comforting in a myriad of ways. The handles are made from 6Al4V titanium with a unique blue random rainbow anodized pattern. The slender design of the knife allows it to easily fit in your pocket and hold securely with a tip-down, right-hand deep carry pocket clip. The blade is crafted from CPM-S35VN stainless steel with a stonewashed finish for a rugged and worn in look. S35VN is a high-grade steel with exceptional edge retention and wear resistance. The action is quick, snappy and authoritative, as with all Kizer knives. The dual thumb studs provide ample purchase and double as the blade stop when in the open position. It features a frame lock, two thumb studs for one-handed opening, lanyard hole, a thumb ramp and jimping on the handle spine.

Kizer uses high-tech wire EDM machines to cut the parts. This method is slower than laser or water jet but feel quality is worth the wait. Each component in Kizer knives are precision machined and engineered to the finest tolerances. The final fit, finish, action, and sharpness of each knife is achieved entirely by hand, employing the irreplaceable craftsmanship developed by generations of cutler masters. Dedicated craftsman honoring the long-term goal of making the best knives possible is what Kizer brings to you.

Pocket Clip
Pocket Clip
Includes a pocket clip for easy accessibility and a more secure carry.
A tougher steel than S30V, it retains the excellent corrosive properties and ability to take an edge, but improves on the ability to hold that edge.

A nonferrous metal, it's prized for its high strength to weight ratio and is often used on higher end knives.

Pros: Ease of Opening, Handle Material, Handle Feel, Weight, Pocket Clip, Lock Ease of Use, Blade Material
Cons: None
Worth it
This knife has become a welcome addition to my collection. It has beautiful scales making it very eye-catching. The blade action is very smooth making for quick deployment and use. The size and weight of the knife are very complimentary for everyday carry and fits in my hand nicely. It has a deap-carry, tip-down pocket clip that fits asthetically well with the rest of the knife. The blade design is unique enough to make it a conversation piece, and of a high quality steel. Straight out of the box it didn't do so well on a paper-cutting sharpness test though. Over all, given the price ($85 at the time), there was no hesitation to my purchase decision and I'm glad to have it.

Pros: Blade Material, Handle Feel, Handle Material, Overall Quality, Weight, Ease of Opening, Blade Sharpness
Cons: Lock Ease of Use, None
Everything I hoped it would be.
I have been hearing alot of good things about Kizer knives and it turns out that it was all true. The fit & finish on this knife is excellent. The all around quality is every bit as good as other knives I payed 3 times as much money for.I would have given a 5 star rating except there is a tiny bit of lock stick when closing the knife. Over all I am very pleased with this knife and I was happy with the service I received at Knife Center. I definitely be a return customer .

This is how you do it
My first Kizer knife and I started collecting knives not too long ago. I wanted something other than a flipper and ordered this one as it was on sale, so why not, let's see how the Chinese do it. Well, to answer you, this knife is pretty amazing, one of the best built, smoothest knives I own. The quality is almost second to none and should be compared to the higher end custom knife makers. The anodized titanium is beautiful and I would have liked it to have some anodized screw hardware. She opens so smoothly and you can feel the smoothness of the bearings, I mean really feel it. The only downside is the knife I got wasn't sharp enough, it ripped paper rather than slicing through it. Overall it is light, really light compared to what it looks like, a good thing. Not having a flipper is not an issue as this is Bentley smooth. The pocket clip is not reversible which is a good thing so we don't have holes all over the knife. The frame lock is perfect, and so easy to open. I love the extra detail on the frame lock with the additional metal attached as a stopper. One bad thing is, I cannot stop looking at this knife, it really is beautiful, classy and I love it. I just wished it was a little sharper.
