Description
BM531: 531 AXIS | Pardue Design
Benchmade

The Benchmade Mel Pardue Axis is a great lightweight EDC, but with a Zytel handle it always seemed to be missing something. That something has been found in the 531 series, featuring G10 handles. It looks great, feels great, and functions great!

The ultimate lightweight carry now comes with G10 or molded handles. The Model 531 is based on the Mel Pardue designed Model 350. The basic looks are the same with the spear point blade and coffin style handle design but, the AXIS lock was incorporated for added performance function. The overall design was slimmed down for a low profile, low drag carry, and the weight is still incredibly light. So if you liked the Model 350, you’re going to love the Model 531.

Cons: None
Great Value Knife
I daily carry a pocket knife and this knife is light weight but still stout enough to fulfill any and all jobs I find for it. My son liked the first one I purchased, and so, this is my second.

Pros: Lock Type, Blade Material, Lock Ease of Use, Handle Material, Overall Quality, Weight, Ease of Opening, Blade Sharpness
Cons: None
Great thin light edc
This is a great edc for those who want a light discreet carry, especially if you wear slacks or light shorts. Blade is sharpened very well (phone book paper sharp) lock is smooth and solid, handle does have a few hot spots but I do not use it for carving or extended use, it's an edc, tape, envelopes, lunch ect. so it is not a issue for me. Blade pivot is butter smooth with excellent lock up and easy release, pivot was a bit to tight for my liking but took care of that and loosened it a touch. Only thing I would want different is the thumb stud but not a deal breaker. Another excellent BM to my collection, Side note to those with sticking axis lock, it will smoothen out wth some use as lock settles in.

Best edc I own! Light thin and smooth. I've read that some have had problems with the lock sticking but that is not the case with mine. It opens and closes one hand with ease. I have a good collection and I can't bring myself to carry anything else. Wouldn't do heavy prying with it. Sharp and great blade shape.
