SP199TIP: C199TIP Nirvana
Spyderco has teamed up with Peter Rassenti, a custom knifemaker from Canada, for another amazing collaboration; the Nirvana. Produced in Taiwan, this integral handle titanium folder is more of a mid-tech piece than a production one. It has all the feeling of Peter's custom model without the matching price tag. The blade is made from S90V stainless steel with Spyderco's trademark Round Hole that is actually part of the original design. The handle is machined from a single piece of 6Al4V titanium with a broken glass pattern finish. The handle is thin, durable, ergonomic and absolutely beautiful. Jimping on the thumb ramp and near the butt end of the knife is perfectly executed and really locks this knife into your hand. This is Spyderco's first integral handle design and it's simply extraordinary.

Amazing Integral
Absolutely amazing action with great lockup, perfect centering, and no stick. I'd prefer a full flat ground or hollow ground blade but it still cuts well. Incredibly smooth with fall-shut closing. In handle retention isn't as high as a flipper would be but I've had no issues with that. Get it while you can.

Pros: Handle Feel, Weight, Blade Sharpness
Cons: Lock Ease of Use, None
Beautiful but disappointing
I have two of theses and this is my second review. The knife is beautiful and sharp. My problems are with the lock. First it would not open one-sided. Now it opens fairly well but I cannot move the lock-bar with one hand to close it. I have cycled the lock-bar five to six hundred times and tried two lubricants to see if anything helped, so far nothing helps. I have another Spiderco with the same problem and it has never closed easily. It is really sad to have a knife like this one and not be able to use it, but at least my other one works perfectly.
