Kershaw Knives
A Non-Traditional Gentleman's Knife

The Kershaw Showtime, designed by Todd Rexford, is not exactly a traditional "gentleman's" knife. Which means that it could be exactly what the non-traditional gentleman is looking for.

With its 3" blade, the Showtime is a convenient size for pocket carry—whether you’re dressed up or down. The blade features a two-toned finish: black-oxide on the grinds and satin-polish on the flats. 8Cr13MoV stainless steel enables the Showtime's blade to take and hold its edge.

The Showtime opens elegantly with the built-in flipper and the SpeedSafe assisted opening. And there’s no thumb stud to interrupt the clean, streamlined looks.

The handle is steel, black-oxide coated, and contoured for a solid grip. A frame lock ensures secure lock up. The decorative hex pivot enhances the Showtime’s showoff good looks. The pocket clip is reversible for left or right handed carry and because it’s also a deep-carry clip, carrying is always discreet.
  • Flipper- May be used on either manual or assisted opening knives. The "flipper" is a protrusion on the back of the blade that the user can pull back on, or flip, in order to move the blade easily out of the handle.
  • SpeedSafe- Assists you to open any SpeedSafe knife quickly and easily with a manual push on the thumbstud or pull back on the flipper; built into many Kershaw best sellers.
  • Frame Lock- A portion of the handle (the knife frame) moves behind the blade to lock it into position during use. This is a safety feature of the knife.
  • Reversible- Pre-drilled holes in the handle enable the user to change either the tip position or the side on which the knife carries.

Stainless Steel knife handles provide strength and durability and look and feel great.
8CR13 Stainless Steel
8CR13 Stainless Steel
Considered a value steel, 8Cr13 steel provides adequate corrosion resistance but with slightly more carbon than AUS-8, it will sharpen up and hold an edge better.

Pros: Overall Quality, Blade Sharpness, Ease of Opening, Weight, Pocket Clip, None
Cons: Lock Ease of Use
Beautiful little knife
I use this knife as my everyday carry, and have for the last month after receiving it. I'm not really someone who needs a huge knife with serrated edges or even partially serrated edges. I'll typically only really need it for opening boxes at work or cutting zip ties. For someone who needs a smaller, more gentleman style carry knife, this is the one. The assisted opening is beautifully fast. I've had multiple compliments on how nice the knife itself looks. Came with a surprisingly sharp blade straight from the box. The deep carry pocket clip makes it absolutely disappear in my pocket. The only issue I had was that the locking mechanism had an issue with fully locking, but with regular fidgeting and use, it now functions properly. All in all, I believe this is a must own knife for those who do office work or just don't find themselves need a more 'tactical' everyday knife.

Pros: Blade Material, Handle Feel, Lock Type, Overall Quality, Pocket Clip, Weight, Handle Material, Blade Sharpness
Cons: Ease of Opening, None
It's a really nice knife and looks really good. It's the kind of quality that you expect from Kershaw. The only problem I have is it takes a good bit of pressure to flip open the blade, more than other knives that I have but this can probably be remedied with a little adjustment on the blade.
