Description
SPFB09GP2: FB09GP2 Ronin 2
Spyderco

Personal-defense authority Michael Janich popularized the wharncliffe blade shape as a self-defense tool with his original Spyderco Ronin design. Now that concept is back and better than ever with the new Ronin 2. Designed to cut with unrelenting power all the way to the point, its broad straight-edged blade is hollow-ground from corrosion-resistant CTS-BD1 stainless steel. Exceptionally thin, textured G-10 scales bolted to the full tang guarantee a secure grip and superior edge orientation, while an understated integral guard protects the hand from the sharp edge during thrusting tactics. Slim, flat, and weighing less than four ounces, the Ronin 2 rides discreetly in a custom-molded Boltaron sheath. A versatile G-Clip attachment supports a wide variety of belt and inside-the-waistband carry positions, allowing you to easily tune your carry of the Ronin 2 to your personal needs and tactics.

Ronin 2 Sheath Issues
I purchased the Ronin 2 as a self defense back up edged instrument. I find the knife itself beyond reproach, especially in it's price range. The blade is razor sharp out of the box. I must add that Knife Center is such an OUTSTANDING company to work with. Their customer service is stellar, their communication is above and beyond, and their shipping is better than "ANYTHING" I've experienced heretofore. The handle is the G-10, and my hands are a size 8 ring, med/large glove. The knife drops most comfortably in my hand. I have no issue with the sheath material, but when I first attempted to place the knife in the sheath, it seemed as though it was so loose because the knife dropped out. I then discovered I had to FORCE the knife into the sheath, and equally as great a force to remove it. I really wanted to give a five star rating, however, Ihave to rate the entire package, and the sheath loses one star because it fails to deploy the knife on a timely manner. I will be seeking a professional to make me a custom sheath for my Ronin 2. I would absolutely recommend this knife to anyone for EDC, however, please be advised, the sheath precludes a quick draw.

Wish I could love it...
There are many good qualities about this knife. It is made with excellent materials. It is fearsomely sharp, slim, light, strong and comes with an excellent sheath What ruins the party for me? It just doesn't feel right in my hand. Yep. That's it. Nonetheless that is a very big problem, for me at any rate. So the best thing I can tell you is this: Definitely check this knife out. Handle it and see what YOU think. You may end up with a superb EDC self defense blade. If you don't like it, there is a world of knives for you to explore until you find what you want.

Best EDC Defensive Knife
This knife has no negative aspects. Even the sheath is excellent. Very sharp and very deadly. Beautiful, high quality and a price that is amazingly low. Do not hesitate to buy this knife. You will be impressed.
