PKAPARAESTSPPVSDES: Paragon Para-EST Estiletto OTF AUTO, Double Edge Spear Point
Paragon Knives by Asheville Steel

This Para-EST Estiletto features a CPM-S30V stainless steel double edge spear point blade with a brushed satin finish. The handle is flat dark earth 6061-T6 aluminum with tactical black fittings and heart shaped milling through the handle. You can actually see all the way through this knife when it's open or closed, the first OTF AUTO of its kind. This automatic is a single action out-the-front knife, just push the button and the blade fires out the front of the handle. To close the blade, press the button and use the retracing lever on the side of the handle to pull the blade back in. The Para-EST Estiletto has a sliding safety under the firing button and a pocketclip for secure, tip-down carry. This knife is made by Asheville Steel located in North Carolina, who is now producing all Paragon products.

Pros: Blade Material, Lock Type, Overall Quality, Pocket Clip, Lock Ease of Use, Weight, Ease of Opening, Blade Sharpness
Cons: Handle Feel, Handle Material, None
Great knife!
Really nice knife, although a bit long for any kind of concealed carry. Beautiful double-edged blade (both edges SHARP!) glides out and locks with a solid "shhnick". Recocking is very quick and easy, only need a light effort (which is good as I'm losing hand strength). Safety is a slider, easy to use, should have un/lock visual indicator.Safety forward is 'Safe'. Cutouts in handle are pretty cool letting you glimpse inner workings but not so hot because it lets more dust, dirt, lint, sand, etc., into the inner workings. The cutouts probably lighten the (cast aluminum?) handle a bit, and the spring impulse is sufficient IF THE INNER WORKINGS ARE CLEAN, otherwise the blade binds during the impulse. I really LIKE this knife, it's an unusual knife because of size, and it's fun to safely (!) play with.

Great gravity knife! (if it didn't have a spring)
Really nice knife, a bit long for a pocket cary, but sits nicely in a bag, briefcase, drawer. The SAFETY is always nice to have, because I've had too many automatics spring open in my pocket, and it's a real pain in the ... the ... Hand! The OPEN-MILLED HANDLE is cool, with a bit of manipulating, one gets a pretty good look/idea of how they work. Good tension on the spring, blade shoots out quickly. RETRACTOR thumb nick could be a bit larger, but 8t works good now. DOUBLE-EDGED BLADE seems to be good steel (hasn't failed yet), and attives sharpened. Overall, a good addition to any knife collection.
