Pros: Blade Material, Overall Quality
Cons: None
I received one as a gift and foolishly wondered if it were sharp out of the box. 5 seconds later I had a stripe of blood rising on the back of my hand with the smallest of pressure. Cuts through nylon rope like butter. The handle is thicker than I expected but it has to be to accommodate the curved blade. As a defensive weapon, all I can say is I'd hate to be on the pointy end.

Absolutely Lethal Against Lines
I'm in the Navy and I recommend this knife to everyone I meet. It has strong construction, the blade refuses to rust even after repeated saltwater immersion, and it came wicked sharp in the box. It's light, the hole in the blade allows easy opening even with gloves, and of course, it locks. It's easy to grip, comfortable in the hand, and very light in the pocket. It chews through lines like nothing I've ever seen. The larger members of the Salt line are slightly better for close-in work due to the blunt tip, but the Tasman's curve allows you to rip through thick lines at arm's length with ease. Any situation where a taut line needs to be cut, this is my go-to knife. Highly recommended for anyone in a marine workplace.

Love it!
Everyday carry. Great weight and size. Overall construction is very nice as always with Spyderco. The Bill Point Blade is much better then I ever expected. It's just so damn handy in so many situations. Great knife!
