SP01GPGR: C01GPGR Worker Sprint Run
Several times per year, Spyderco manufactures a limited number of knives not found in their regular product line. These batches are known as Sprint Runs and we love them at the KnifeCenter. The runs are limited in number and will not be reordered or available again once sold out. This special model revisits Spyderco’s first model, the Worker, now with a VG-10 blade and Green G10 handle.

True to its name, the Worker model delivers exceptional quality to meet a variety of everyday needs. The distinctive modified clip-point blade has an extremely fine tip for intricate slicing and trimming. When the knife is opened only slightly, the sharpened false edge can be used to cut items such as string or tape. The hole promotes convenient opening with one hand, and the lockback mechanism is situated higher on the G10 handle to facilitate easy one-hand closing. A great classic style with a very low profile, the original CLIPIT, reintroduced, continues to serve as a functional pocket tool. 1500 piece Sprint Run.

Pros: Blade Material, Overall Quality, Handle Feel, Weight, Blade Sharpness, Lock Ease of Use, None
Cons: Ease of Opening
Solid little knife with charm.
This is a great little knife, with a little history to add to the charm. I got this knife mainly for the collecting aspect, but found it to be a quality EDC knife. It is smaller than I imagined, but weighted like a bigger knife. I have a spyderco PM2 as an EDC, and this worker won't replace the pm2 anytime soon, as a primary EDC. But, it has all the same quality as the pm2 just smaller. If I'm out with friends, and dressed up, this is the knife that I carry, along with a spyderco sage. This knife isn't as intimidating as the pm2, but has all the same cutting power of it's bigger brother. The blade shape is perfect for cutting, and came shaving sharp. I don't know how well the edge holds up to hard use, because I don't use it for that purpose, but I expect it would be fine. It is a spyderco, and has all the same qualities that you expect from a U.S or Japanese made spyderco blade. The knife is heavy for it's size, but not so heavy to be an anchor. The weight makes it feel solid, and strong, and gives you the feeling of quality. The lock up is solid, and the fit and finish is perfect. There really is no negative that I can see with the knife, if you don't expect it to be some bad #ss outdoor survival tool. It fits in the pocket, and can cut with the best. It is a little stiff to open, but did loosen up a little with an adjustment of the torq screws. It is not the quick one handed snap open type knife that the pm2 is. This would make a perfect gift for an older gentleman, or for a woman that wants a handy little knife.
