Pros: Overall Quality, None
Cons: Handle Material
A knife with a visually stunning appearance. Many tout it as a blade with martial applications. You gotta admit anything with a tanto point speaks of this application. Overall, it's not too bad for that in mind. Though as pointed out by some, a longer handle would be slightly better. And I suppose because of legal restrictions and what not, the false edge sadly, isn't sharpened. Which if you look at this design, protrudes; thus without a sharpen edge would have greatly helped in a snag... I would consider this whole package as something more suitable for those who for whatever reason, require a fighting tanto.

IT'S NOT A COMBAT KNIFE
Hi Michele, I understand you love this knife every much. To be honest, I love it too simply by manipulating it or holding it in my hand. However, once again, I will never bring it into the field. You said it's a good combat knife, well...it's not. A combat knife is utility knife for a soldier to clearing foliage, chopping branches for cover, opening ammunition crates, etc. A good combat knife need to be strong enough to take abuse, easy to sharpen in the field and fully covered (not necessarily but ideally) tang to isolate your hand from metal just in case you need to cut live wires. Now have a look at Kiku, con-curved shape = not easy to sharpen; hollow grind = not strong as flat, saber or convex edge, exposed tang = not able to cut live wire. I did not mention the steel in my previous review. Aus8 is an OK steel for general use, but for an hard use combat knife, a high carbon steel like 1095 will be a better choice. By the way, a combat knife is not a fighting knife, you will never have a chance to stab your opponent in the battle field ---from 15 years of military experience.
