SP193TIP: C193TIP Squarehead
Spyderco

Darriel Caston is an electrical and electronic engineer by trade who has been designing and making custom knives part-time since 1992. His fascination with small folding knives and mechanical gadgets is clearly reflected in his first Spyderco collaboration: the Squarehead. A compact, elegantly simple pocketknife with a shape that inspired its name, the Squarehead offers cutting performance far beyond its diminutive size and does it with a high-precision, high-tech flair.

The heart of the Squarehead is its uniquely square-shaped sheepfoot blade machined from CPM S30V powder metallurgy stainless steel. Its single-sided, flat chisel grind provides excellent edge geometry and strength and allows the cutting edge to lie safely against the handle scale. A trademark Round Hole in the blade proudly identifies the Squarehead as a Spyderco product and allows easy one or two-handed opening.

The Squarehead's unique single-sided handle is machined from a solid piece of titanium. Its one-piece construction includes an integral back strap that also serves as a blade stop and a guard for the edge when the blade is closed. It also houses an integral frame lock mechanism that locks the blade securely in the open position. Amazingly small and lightweight, the Squarehead does not include a pocket clip, but features a wide slot in the handle for easy attachment of a chain, fob or lanyard. Assembled with screw-together construction to ensure the precise alignment of all parts, the blade, handle and other key components of the Squarehead feature an attractive matte stonewash finish.

Cons: None
Im a fan of small pocket folders. This small knife is very well made. In my opinion this knife is much better than Spyderco dog tag. In dog tag there is a bar screwed to the handle by 2 screws. Square head has only two parts: blade and handle that is much more solid made. The blade is very sharp from the box. It has sharpening angle of 30 degrees. I use it every day and I don't feel it in my pocket.
