Nice knife
Just received this knife today. Bought as a gift for my wife. Very solid well made knife. Haven’t used it yet but I think it will work great. Definitely a heavy duty knife, bigger than it appears in the pictures. Gave it 4 stars as I can’t speak to how well it holds up to use yet. Mine was numbered and came with certificate. Sheath is pretty basic, wish it came with a better one but it will work.

TAK-1 Beautiful
This is a beautiful, sturdy, HD backpacking/survival knife. Fit and finish are excellent, The Micarta handles are very nice also. They have a subtle texture, but grip very well and have plenty of room for any grip position. Mine was # 264 of 500. Blade was etched as such. The box was also marked and included a certificate. Even though it was out of stock when ordered, I had it sin hand with-in 1 1/2 wks.. Thank you KnifeCenter. Excellent service and product.

Absolutely gorgeous knife!
This is one beautiful knife. The blade shape and grind (including the swedge) are fantastic, as is the finish. While it might require a little extra care, it's refreshing to see an uncoated blade...it's not polished but it shines. Don't let looks fool you though...this thing is a beast and will make a fine camping, hiking, and general heavy duty knife. But it's so nice I almost don't want to use it! Mine was numbered and came with a COA certifying that it was part of a limited run, as well as another paper certifying that it was made in the USA. Everything about it (except the sheath) says "quality". It's a thick slab of higher end steel with a near-perfect high flat grind. It has a nice secondary bevel and came hair-poppin' sharp. The handle scales are perfect and it feels great in the hand (and I love the green color). There are no gaps between the scales and the steel and the edges are flush with the edge of the steel all the way around the handle. The handle is big enough to comfortably use with a gloved hand. The swedge will probably prevent it from sparking a ferro rod except for maybe a half-inch of the spine at the base of the blade, but that portion has a very sharp 90 degree angle. The choil (if that's what it's supposed to be) isn't very big and I wouldn't recommend trying to use it as such. Now on to the only negative thing I can say...the sheath. It's just a ballistic nylon sheath with a plastic insert. But it's your standard fare as far as sheaths go... lots of nice knives come with mediocre sheaths. It does have a strap down the back for MOLLE compatibility, which is nice. And it has two snap-closure straps over the handle to keep the knife secure. I still gave it 5 stars...cuz what you really care about is the knife, and this one is outstanding. And for the price, I can't complain too much about the sheath.
