CS39LABMS: 39LABMS Natchez Bowie
Cold Steel
"Under-the-Hill" was the notoriously rowdy riverfront district of Natchez, Mississippi at the beginning of the nineteenth century. So disreputable, it was seldom mentioned in the polite drawing rooms of the antebellum mansions that dotted the other side of town during the era when cotton was king.

The Natchez Bowie was born "Under-the-Hill" and takes its pedigree from those seedy taverns and dimly lit streets. Line-bred for battle, it's the definitive fighting Bowie. Its long blade is perfectly shaped for strength, reach, and leverage, and its significant heft is flawlessly balanced, giving it unparalleled liveliness and velocity. Combine all that with its wickedly razor sharp edge and you have a knife that pierces like a dagger, cuts like a razor and chops like a cleaver!

Know the difference between rules of thumb and absolute laws
This knife is excellent, anyone who has been collecting knives a while should have no trouble realizing what a gem this is but for those who are unsure and perhaps put off by the one star review: A full tang is something to look for in non folding knives as a mark of general quality/toughness; however exceptions always exist, I understand with the earlier versions if this knife which had faux cocobolo wood handles were prone to splitting under great and repeated force but this one is micarta, among the most damage resistant materials used for knife handle work. This knife is designed as a fighter primarily but I have know doubt it will hold up to a variety of tasks and last a life time.

Impressive Bowie
The Natchez was designed primarily as a fighting knife. It has reach, balance and razor sharpness. If you want a camp knife get a Trail Master!

Not worth the money
Nice big knife, unfortunately it's not a full tang. If the handle should break you will not be able to ever use the knife again. This knife is basically a "wall hanger ", save your money and buy a TOPS instead.
