A great knife made even better
I already had a original RAT1 that I really like a lot, so when I saw this edition with the D2 blade material it was a easy choice to upgrade. My original will go in my pack and this one will be my EDC knife. Thank you knife center for quick service and good prices.

Cons: Weight, Lock Ease of Use, None
Good knife for the price. Blade was off center and doesn't seem fixable. Great feel in hand even though it is a little heavy. A little chunky in the pocket.

A Rat on a night out
There is a reason that the Ontario Rat 1 is such an iconic knife. An affordable workhorse that functions well above its pay grade. Then came this beauty. With the carbon fiber scales and D2 steel... its like dressing up a steel worker to go out to dinner. The grit is still there, but it looks pretty slick doing it. I'm very interested to see how the steel holds up, however, I know it is a marked improvement to the Aus-8. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a sexier version of the Rat 1. You will not be disappointed. Same great value and function... with upgrades that really hit the mark. Good job Ontario and KC!
