BE6001RPB: Ceramic Folder, Red Jigged Bone Onlay
Benchmark

This is an affordable ceramic folding knife by Benchmark. It's great edge retention has made ceramic one of the big up-and-coming blade materials. This knife has combined the excellent cutting capabilities and edge retention of ceramic with a sleek, modern profile. The bone onlay (only on one side) give it an extra air of elegance, making this a knife that would not look out of place clipped to a suit pocket. The knife snaps open with authority, and the liner lock keeps it held firmly in place.

Despite the obvious quality of the knife, Benchmark has managed to make it affordable for anyone. This is just the thing to satisfy your curiosity about ceramic knives, or to add to your current collection.

Cons: Overall Quality, Blade Sharpness, Blade Material, Handle Material
Don't drop it
The knife would gave been 5 stars but I dropped the knife from 3 feet while it was closed and it broke into 3 pieces. Also the white blade stains easy, if it wasn't for these issues it was a good knife.

Smooth, sharp knife
The blade comes wonderfully sharp. The frame is simple and well-finished. For me, the red bone onlay doesn't add anything, but the rest of the knife is great.

Could be better.
I have never owned a ceramic knife and had heard they were incredibly sharp. I was surprised how heavy the knife was but what bothered me was the inability to slice through cardboard or paper like a well sharpened steel knife. The edge is rough and gritty feeling when you lightly drag it across paper. At first the blade was snug in the handle but after a few openings it will drop out of the handle if you just shake it a bit. It's attractive enough but since you really can't sharpen a ceramic blade it is not worth the money.
