Description
FOX508: FOX Modras Dagger, Desert Tan
FOX

The Modras Dagger features a lot of design elements found in various daggers that where made, and designed in the past. The form, the design, and the research for a perfect symmetry makes that you can hold this dagger in different positions. Thanks mostly to the fact that you can place your thumb in two different points on the hand-guard, independent of the size of ones hand when griped or if one is left handed.

On the front part of both G10 handle scales, a thumbprint has been milled in so that one can use it with the blade vertically, not only horizontally. These small indentations show the attention to detail and thought that go into FOX knives. The jimping on the finger guard is properly executed - functional but not obtrusive. The full, extended tang ends in a pointed pommel with a lanyard hole drilled in. Comes with a beautiful black leather belt sheath which has a MOLLE attachment and large belt loop.

Cons: Blade Sharpness, None
Awesome knife
This knife is awesome, great balance, heavy hitter. This blade is very beautiful, handle has a rattlesnake look to it,finish on blade is very nice, sheath is nice leather.Cons-blade is very dull,at this price it should come razor sharp, and while sheath is very beautiful it's hard to get the knife out,I will use it on molly attachments.I'm going to get a kydex sheath made, and buy the ken onion sharpener, from other reviews I knew it was going to be dull,so nothing I was'nt expecting. All in all amazing blade, will be my back up to my ccw,5 stars, and thank you again knife center,as always a pleasure dealing with you.

Very good knife.
It's as dull as a butter knife. Other than that it's a beautiful knife. Fit and finish are superb. The sheath is well made and functional.

My Second Impression
My initial review reflects the magnificent affect the Modras dagger had on me. In fact, I'm not sure if I even had a " CON" noted. However, for the sake of true objectivity, I might have desired the double edges to come out of the box razor sharp..... Like a Cold Steel usually does. But , with a little tweaking I got both edges as sharp as they need to be for a knife created to be primarily a piercing dagger type. From that view point, the point leaves nothing to be desired not does one have to be concerned with the needle like point breaking. So, all in all, OLAMIC HAS ACHIEVED WHAT THEY INTENDED. I love the weight and balance, as well as the well thought out leather sheath. The KNIFE CENTER'S sales and technical advisory staff is my place for courtesy, efficiency, and telling the truth about what they offer the knife enthusiast. J John P. Mississippi
