Kizlyar Supreme Knives
The Whisper is Kizlyar Supreme's modern interpretation of the famed fighting knife of the samurai, the tanto. Designed by Jason Breeden and produced to perfection by Kizlyar Supreme of Russia, the Whisper is an exceptional choice as an EDC knife. The blade features a true tanto shape, capable of tackling the toughest daily tasks while providing the penetration power lacking in so many Western tanto designs.

The grip is milled G10 with nested stainless liners and features the famous diamond pattern seen in Japanese handle wrapping in reverse. The strong pocket clip rides deep and displays a Japanese Mon, or family crest. These powerful symbols were first used on the battlefields of Japan to distinguish each warring faction. This version of the Whisper features tough D2 tool steel coated with long-lasting black titanium nitride and layered red/black 3D milled G10 scales.

This is my edc blade. I'm a medical professional and have carried a locking blade for over twenty years. The blade design is effective, the blade locks well with no rocking or shifting, and the blade is thick enough to be useful. It holds a razor edge with minimal work and that edge survives several feet of thick cardboard before needing only a slight retouch. The handle fits the human hand uncommonly well for a folder, and the pocket clip retains the knife while still allowing rapid, convenient draw. I highly recommend the knife if you like the design. The make and quality will not disappoint.

When I first saw the handles on this knife, I knew I had to get one. The handles have a Micarta look to them, and the red and black really set it off with the black blade. Beautiful ! Fortunately, every thing else about the knife is just as great. It did have a slight amount of side to side play when I took it out of the box, but I tightened the pivot a bit and now it's good and tight. Still opens easily with the stud and closes smoothly. Lock up looks like it's at about 10 percent. Blade was shaving sharp out of the box with nice even grind. Love the blade shape, kind of a Tanto but not quite. I might like a bit of jimping on the spine, but with the notch on the top of the grips you get a pretty good hold. Edge should last a while with the D2, and should be pretty easy to resharpen. Nice deep carry pocket clip, and I like the design on the button on the end of it, classy touch. Even though this is only a $95 knife, I've become quite attached to it already, and I own knives a lot more expensive than this one. Glad I ordered mine when I did because I noticed that they have been in stock and out of stock twice since I ordered mine. If you can get one, do it, you won't be sorry. Thanks Kizlyar, you have earned my trust with this knife and I will be ordering some different models soon. Thanks to Knife Center for having it available and their as usual great service. GREAT JOB KIZLYAR !
