MCKSIGILAPOCCF: Custom Apocalyptic DC Munroe Sigil, Carbon Fiber
Marfione Custom Knives
Deryk DC Munroe is the main source of engineering and labor for MunroeKnives. A lifelong fascination with weaponry led him to create his first knife in 1984. He followed a somewhat convoluted path to becoming a full-time knifemaker in 1997. Exploring and evolving the various aspects of the craft, has driven him ever since. His style is unique and the quality of his folders is simply superb. So, it was an obvious choice for Tony to work with Deryk on this Marfione Custom Sigil.

It is a compact folder that you will 100% love right out of the awesome Marfione Custom box. It's slim, lightweight, angular, fast, and absolutely gorgeous. It features a 3.5" sheepsfoot style Elmax stainless steel blade with a DC Munroe signature thumb cutout and the heavily stonewashed finish Tony has dubbed 'Apocalyptic'. The handle is made from beautifully milled carbon fiber which is as ergonomic as any knife on the market and makes this knife carry like a dream. All hardware is bead blasted titanium and there is a Devin Thomas stainless Damascus plate to prevent the frame lock from over-traveling. The pocketclip is usually an afterthought on a knife, but this one is the star of the show. It fits flush into the carbon fiber frame and spring tension allows you to open it up a fraction of an inch while you're sliding it into your pocket. All we can say is wow! This is a gorgeous piece, very unusual and Tony has done a wonderful job in his interpretation of this awesome flipper. It's our favorite Marfione Custom Knife to date.

Carbon Fiber Handles
Very strong and lightweight material. Provides an upscale and modern feel.
Extremely fine grained powered metal that strikes the balance between edge holding and corrosion resistance perfectly. Much more likely to get a rolled edge than have a chip develop.

Pros: Lock Type, Handle Material, Blade Sharpness, Blade Material, Ease of Opening, Handle Feel, Weight, Lock Ease of Use, Overall Quality
Cons: Pocket Clip, None
My favorite knife in my collection
Everything I would expect from a respectable knife maker. Outstanding fit and finish. Tight tolerances. Heavy detend, 30 degree lockup. Just a superb knife. My only complaint is the pocket clip does not hold the knife securely. I worry the knife will fall out, but it hasn't happened yet. Just sayin'.

Marfione custom Sigil
I have been collecting Microtech knives for 20 yrs. This flipper is destined to be my EDC until??! The next great one. I was a little disappointed that the action was a bit "gritty" when I first recd. but after a weeks worth of flipping and some oil it has smoothed out. I wouldn't have expected this from a custom knife in this price range!
