Description
SP207GP: C207GP Ouroboros
Spyderco

Named after an ancient Greek symbol depicting a serpent eating its own tail, Spyderco's Ouroboros is a highly refined folding knife design that packs impressive function into a compact, stylish package. Designed by automotive engineer Paul Alexander, it features a broad, leaf-shaped blade with a gently curved PlainEdge cutting edge. Full-flat ground from VG10 stainless steel, it offers an excellent balance of high-performance edge geometry, corrosion resistance, edge retention, and ease of sharpening. Its Trademark Round Hole is also fully accessible with either hand for swift, one-handed opening.

The Ouroboros' blade is paired with a gracefully curved handle constructed with nested stainless steel liners, a steel backspacer, and textured G10 scales. The liners form the foundation of Spyderco's patented Compression Lock mechanism, which not only provides impressive lock strength but also allows the blade to be safely and easily closed with only one hand. When the knife is opened, the blade and handle create a uniquely ergonomic shape that is amazingly comfortable and allows the wide blade to serve as a natural hand guard. Slim, lightweight, and extremely safe to use, the Ouroboros includes a reversible, deep-pocket wire clip that keeps it discreetly poised for ambidextrous tip-up access.

Pros: Blade Sharpness, Lock Type, Handle Material, Overall Quality, Pocket Clip, Ease of Opening, Handle Feel, Weight, Lock Ease of Use, Blade Material
Cons: None
Driving Shotgun...
I've been carrying this knife along with a longer blade since I got it and have been cutting everything that I can with it; it's gone from riding shotgun to my primary cutting tool. The action was a little stiff at first but it has smoothed out and only takes a little nudge to have it swing closed like my Para2. Came sharpened from the factory but I've stropped it to what I'm used to in VG-10 razor sharp steel. I've used it for a lot of food prep, but I need to get out and hunt more to skin some critters. The ergos are great for my medium sized hands I've used it in a plethora of grips, yet it still remains comfortable no matter how I hold it. I also like the way it doesn't hog up room in my pocket(s).

So overpriced...
Although this is a very cool little knife there is no way I can recommend it at it's current price point. It feels a lot like the g10 dragonfly in hand but is priced 2x higher. There is absolutely no reason to justify $170 bucks for this! Steel is VG10 which in my experience is about as good as AUS8, and G10 handles.
