Pros: Handle Material, Blade Material, Handle Feel, Weight, Blade Sharpness, Lock Ease of Use, None
Cons: Ease of Opening
Great potential, questionable execution
Has the potential to be a truly great knife, blade is good, ergos on the handle are good. Cannot look past the action, really should have used captive bearings Kershaw. Pretty bad where you can't open a flipper without a flick of the wrist, when you have non-flippers like the Rat 1 where you can flip open without flicking your wrist. If it weren't for the Damascus blade I would recommend a Ruike P801, same steel as the normal skyline, uses captive bearings and has a much nicer action, all for $20 less.

Pros: Overall Quality, Blade Sharpness, Pocket Clip, Weight, Blade Material, None
Cons: Ease of Opening
Great pocket blade for the money
Very nice pocket knife with a very sharp fine-looking pattern Damascus steel blade, with the quality you expect from Kershaw at a very reasonable price. When first received, opening the knife with the flipper was a bit on the stiff side, but after using the knife as my EDC for the past several weeks, opening the blade is easier and can be accomplished using the "trigger" and a flick of the wrist. This knife is significantly lighter and narrower profile than my other EDC, a Ken Onion Shenanigan by CRKT. I'm happy with this Kershaw.

Hard to beat
This thing is the perfect little EDC blade. The steel is beautiful and the knife is very light. Although not assisted, the flipper works beautifully and is capable of fully deploying the blade with a slight flick of the wrist. As with other high-carbon blades, the damascus Skyline retains an edge for a long time but is prone to rusting if not kept dry and oiled. This isn't a bad thing, it's just the nature of the steel. The knife doesn't have all the frills of a custom knife but it doesn't really need them. If I could change anything, I would change the hardware to flush screws but that's not really necessary. The pocket clip works great but it's not deep carry so some people may not love it. Pros: •best steel for the money •light •fast flipper •perfect size for every day carry •beautiful damascus pattern •simple yet effective liner lock Cons: •being real damascus, it's prone to rusting •could have used better hardware
