Pros: Blade Sharpness, Weight, None
Cons: Overall Quality, Lock Type, Handle Feel
Bear ops balisong
I bought this to see if I would like balisongs before I bought something nice like a Benchmade, and I have to say I'm pretty disappointed. I thought that by spending money on a mid range flipper I would be able to train and learn, but this thing is useless. The tang pins that attach the blade to the handles are bent. Yes, bent. So bent, that, the action of flipping the knife open will unscrew the pins. I did a ton of research on bali's before I bought this, so I knew I would have to apply locktite to the threads. I cleaned everything spotless, put it back together with locktite, and even let the locktite set for 24 hours. Picked up the knife, first flip backed the screws out. Here's the kicker for me. I also bought a super cheap bear ops bali trainer, and I swear the quality on the 20 dollar trainer is better than the quality on the 100 dollar knife. The trainer has cheap pins (not screws, cannot back out) that work 100% better than screws on a bent tang pin. Disappointed, Save your money and buy a Benchmade.
