Benchmade Azeria-A Purpose Built Knife

I like everything about this knife. It came 1 day after ordering it which really surprised me. It is super and seriously sharp from the box. The holster is well designed for its intended purpose. The clip is made very strong-the way it should be. It is designed to be carried on a duty or utility belt and that is where it will go--as a police officer, I will carry it as a back-up weapon. It will be installed to the left of the ammo pouch with the knife handle laying directly behind the ammo pouch flaps. It will be very hard to see-one would have to look very closely. The holster can be reversed and has holes to tie the holster in, if need be.It is definitely a purpose built piece of emergency equipment--last ditch self-defense during a gun grab.I have small to medium hands so it fits perfectly for me. Well done Benchmade and to the Knife Center: Great Service! PS: I am surprised Benchmade constructed the blade with what they did BUT, because of its location, it might come into contact with sweat so the blade metal has to be rust-free...again good job.

Excellent backup

Comfortable, ergonomic, and a nice sharp durable blade. Easily concealed. Also, in response to the critique of the belt clip, read the descriptions before you buy. "Designed for Utility Belts."

Great last-ditch

This knife is great. The overall bend from handle to blade makes the knife very easy to carry and also surprisingly compact. I carry it in my waistband and it doesn't print whatsoever with a relatively slim T-shirt. The large clip easily accommodates inside-the-waistband carry OR can fit on a utility belt, giving lots of choices for carrying. Benchmade quality is of course top notch.

What I have been looking for.

Wanted to try a smallish fixed blade for weak hand draw. Well built, very sharp. Clip on the sheath is too stiff, need to thread belt through. But, will not come off the belt. Will still carry a folder too. I really like this knife.

Great knife, horrible sheath/clip

As usual the Benchmade knife is great even considering its a low-end price-point for their products and just as sharp as my more expensive Benchmade knives. I would have liked to see it have a longer blade but it actually conceals well so I got over that. The huge belt clip on the sheath which lets it move around is a big negative though. I'm not sure what type of belt they used to size the clip but even my large custom leather belt is too small for the clip to hold tightly so it wiggles around and moves when I draw. The clip needs to be replaced for the knife to function properly because it just flops around making it impossible to wear with the stock clip. Great knife, poor sheath.
