Pros: Blade Material, Sheath/Scabbard, Handle Material, Weight, Materials, Overall Quality, Blade Sharpness
Cons: None

Favorite carry knife; really good design.

I have had no problems with the dagger (I have had it for 2 weeks) and really like the design. It feels good in my hand and is well balanced / razor sharp. The finger hole on the end is really nice for pulling the knife. Stick your pointer finger inside the end ring, pull the dagger out, and the dagger is ready for combat. The clip is a little loose depending on the thickness of your pants pocket so if you try to pull the dagger out of the sheath the whole sheath might come out of your pocket. Not a problem though because you can always put the thumb on the side of the top of the sheath while pulling it out and it works great / does not impede the combat usefulness of the product.

My experience with the SOCP

The main problem I have seen people talk about with this knife is saying the pocket clip doesnt keep the sheath from coming out of the pocket with the knife. I personally have had no issue at all with this. I see their point because its not the strongest clip but ive only seen this with something like khaki shorts with a smooth pocket. with blue jeans it stays in place for me. and even with khakis if you just pull up and outwards slightly it keeps the sheath in place. But mainly I carry this knife inside the waistband which is fantastic. any slight pressure such as from my belt makes this a total non issue. that sheath isnt going anywhere even if i tried to make it. when im not carrying the knife it slides securely into my molle webbing on my edc bag and from there i can draw the knife just fine as well. I was a little suprised at benchmades decision to use 440c steel but then again its not meant to be used for any kind of utility so no biggie but gotta have at least one con I guess. as far as which one, i usually hate serrations but having messed around with both versions I do prefer the serration combo since the non serrated version doesnt replace the serrations with an edge so why not go with something over nothing. plus the edge on the non serrated socp isnt really an edge. its very dull so its really just a spear point and thats it. the combo blade is very sharp as well as having the extreme point. Anyway I didnt plan on such a lengthy review but my main point I wanted to make for ppl on the fence is that personally i AM a fan of the clip. it works great for me and its the main reason I stick with the socp over the spartan for edc. the price difference was nice but not my reason for sticking with the socp. I wanted it for easy and convenient edc carry and this clip makes that possible. And if the clip does give anyone trouble then just remove it, bend it slightly, try it on, repeat til satisfied. but i dont think it will be necessary. hope this helps.
