Pros: Ease of Opening, Weight, Overall Quality, None
Cons: Lock Ease of Use, Pocket Clip, Blade Material, Blade Sharpness
Good little daily.
I have been purchasing and utilizing Benchmade Knives for 20 years. Some are better than others, obviously. Since they've become so huge, it seems more effort is put into some than others, I try to stick to the USA made models. This little auto is pretty cool! Emphasis on "little"as it's a little guy. I estimate it would present some difficulties if you have large or chubby hands. My hands are above average in size, but I have effectual hand abilities so it doesn't present much of a problem. I have had the knife for over 6 months, I never do a review without some sort of testing time. I have used the knife for all sorts of daily chores like constantly opening boxes, cutting up small foods for my little boy, fishing stuff and just all the things you would use a little knife for. I bought an auto because I wanted to be able to open with one hand in a pinch. Pros: Small, fast and sharp. And pretty. Cons: Clip doesn't seem to be holding up as well as I'd have liked, it's sliding around a bit but may need to be tightened. Which is another con, I don't have a teeny torx wrench. Another con is that it did not stay sharp for very long. It has held an edge, but I had hoped it would have stayed sharper, longer. At one point the blade began to stick a little, but I applied some lube and that seems to take care of it, it would be hard to clean in there, I'm guessing I'll have to send it in at some point to be serviced, sharpened and cleaned. Never have this knife available to small children. If they're anything like my little boy they'd have it open in an instant(even with the little lock) and terrible things could happen. It would also make a cool little gentleman's pocketknife with the clip pulled but I would lose it in a second. Overall a cool little knife, price point is a little high, but great piece that does turn heads.
