great knife
Overall: high quality, well made, nice looking and sharp as they come. It is my first flicker, so I find it a bit difficult to get use to opening it properly. other than that no complains.

Titanium VG10 Kwaiken
Kwaiken Ti/VG10 Hard to fault this version of the Kwaiken. Design, Materials, Operation are all top notch...equal to knives costing twice as much. Opening, lock-up and closing are smooth as glass and solid. Flips open instantaneously (though unassisted). The blade was shaving sharp out of the box. It's a hefty, long knife so those who like smaller EDC's may feel this too heavy and long in the pocket. The clip is very functional but, if removed, reveals a recess in the scale on only one side which, may ruffle some aesthetic feathers for folks who prefer to remove the clip. This is a damn good knife.

Cons: Sheath, Ease of Opening, None
Great looking knife. Good quality. Nice heft to it, though slightly on the heavy side. Opening a little stiff, easily sorted with practice. Uses: hard to define -probably comes under the heading of 'just in case'

i'm not sure what to say here. clearly an excellent knife. mine is new and does not completely open as in the video on youtube. perhaps a few more years of use? my tastes run towards the practical, mundane and tool like knives. this ;however, is based on a beautiful and timeless design meant to be warn by warriors as an addition to ( i think ) the samurai sword. adding a serrated portion to the blade might be considered sacreligious. still....hard to argue with a design that has been around for awhile and has such a rich tradition behind it. art. yes. quality. excellent. modern. not sure.
