heavy duty
this knife is twice as thick as i thought it would be. a truely heavy duty knife. the handle is wrapped with leather, but it is one solid slab of 440a all the way down to the almost 1/4 hammer pommel. even once the leather wears out the knife can be rewrapped with leather or paracord. the edge came sharp but it took an even better one with a ceramic rod. 440a isnt a high end steel so the edge might need some upkeep, it has held up really well with some whittling and cutting some cardboard (shaves my arm still). where i live it is wet alot of the time so the stain resistance is a plus. it is tough stuff too so i doubt it will break anytime soon, even with rough use and prying. i cant wait to get more use out of this knife.

Very Impressed
I am a landscaper. I carry this daily for cutting, slicing, prying slightly, plus every day type usage. Cutting meats etc. in the field. The edge is awesome. I have had this for some time and it keeps it's edge very well. Especially since it is a thick blade. Handle is comfortable and for general looks it's cool. Rustic. Nice sheath/scabbard as well. I just purchased two more in case I lose the one I have. Can be easy in the field when working with plants , trees etc. You will not regret your purchase! Industrial Strength.
