My soligen Boker tortoise stockman
I had a older Boker USA smooth red bone stockman that I carried from 2002-2008 when it got lost camping. So in 2008 I replaced it with the Boker tortoise handle stockman made in soligen Germany and made from 4034 high carbon stainless steel and will get razor sharp. I’ve had it since 2008 and it’s still holding up great. Now this knife is still in production but now falls under Boker’s traditional series knives which are actually made in China then sent to Germany for the fit and finish. They started this back in 2015 the traditional series made in China. When I bought mine new in 2008 made in soligen Germany and it cost me $70.00 back in 2008. Now the same knife is made in China and sells anywhere from $35.00-$55.00. Glad I have one of the original ones that is made in soligen Germany and has the good quality Germany steel blades in it.
