Pros: Overall Quality, Design, Sharpenability, Sharpness, Construction, Material Quality, Durability
The Best Carver
This was my second Boker Saga knife, and I'm now filling out the whole set. They're replacing a couple sets of Henckels and Wüsthof I'm happy to be rid of. As I mentioned in the paring knife review, my wife is an edge terrorist. Somehow she manages to curl edges while cutting lettuce. Since I swapped in the Bokers, she hasn't even been able to put a glint on the edge. They come crazy sharp out of the box, hold that edge for months, and have the most comfortable, secure handles of any kitchen knife I've ever used. I've personally used this carver for tri-tip, prime rib, brisket, and many other meats. It's just about long enough to easily slice a full packer brisket, but a few more inches would have been nice. I honestly have no complaints, and can't find any flaws or faults in the materials, construction, or design. If you're looking for some kitchen knives to last, you can't go wrong with these.
