The 847 sure scratched my itch!
I have a good many knives, fixed blade and folders, but I never really had a sturdy mid-sized folder for a lot of outdoor tasks/chores. So, I went on a thorough search for the knife I thought that I wanted. NAILED IT! or rather Buck did with the 847 force pro. Price wasn't really a show stopper, but I thought I should be able to find a strong dependable, quality steel blade for under 150. My final price at knifeCenter was well under 100 to boot. I knew the S30V was a "top 5" knife steel and seemed to really fit what I wanted in this knife. Next, I considered the hand fit to be real important for my last serious old age knife, so I visited the best knife/gun shop around and liked the Kershaws and Benchmades. The buck like I wanted wasn't there but I suspected the handle to be gently rounded for my fat but relatively small hand. I have had a few bucks through the years and all have been good working/hunting knives but I never was happy that they stuck to 420HC steel all those years. Well, I consider the force folder to be a fine departure from old ways and a definite upgrade to buck folders. IT IS JUST WHAT I WANTED in every way. When I got it from the box it was nice and tight like good steel out to be. The S30V blade is razor sharp and the liner lock is solid and smooth espeically after I gave it a drop or two of slip 2000. It has enough heft to let you know it is a serious piece of steel but yet not a lead weight in the pocket. The pocket clip is prefectly situated for deep carry in the pocket. Love the blue/blk handle material for grip and looks. Buck and KnifeCenter really came thru for me on my main carry EDC folder for my retirement and I never guessed that Buck would be the one to get it done!!! Knifecenter also did an excellent job with photos and tech info so that I could evaluate the knife. VERY PLEASED. ROBERT

Wow...Just got as a gift...
Sweet Folder....A lot nicer than what I am used to. This a perfect knife for a Lefty as well ( Me )... Also, The clip is positioned at the very bottom of the handle, so when you clip it in your pocket, it disappears...A small complaint, Is the "flick nub" on the base of the blade is a little too small, IMO

Near perfect folder
I use this knife as an EDC, and it serves me well opening cardboard boxes, cutting rope, wood and what ever needs cutting. It stays sharp, opens with extreme ease using the flipper on the blade, and almost clings to my hand, even when I'm wet and dirty. The pocket clip is easy to reverse, but will make the rough handle tear at your pockets, so strictly workwear. Will never fall out of a pocket it's in. The serrated edge was a bit raw out of the box, but a few strokes with a sharpener took care of that. Buck delivers as always! Great price for an even greater knife. I would pay twice as much...

Buck's Best
Added to my collection of folding "tacticals" I think this is one of Buck's best efforts. I like the design, the materials used, the sharpness and shape of the blade and the ergonomics. I have big hands and am very particular about the "feel" of a knife - this one has it all! I also own another knife in this series and will be buying another model soon - can't have too many, can you??!! Also, of the mored than 200 models of folding knives I own, this series and the SOG Flash II are the only ones I leave the pocket clip on - they are perfectly designed and positioned!

Buck Wins Again.
This is another great blade from Buck (I own a Metro and a 110) it comes razor sharp from the box, the G10 is grippy, the clip is great, tip up carry and isn't too tough on the pants. All around this is a perfect knife IMO. I've only used it to open some boxes and cut some tape, but she's razor sharp.
