Excited

This looks like an amazing knife. I've seen it on the dual survival shows. Plus my sisters boyfriend has it. I used it a little and loved it instantly

I use this in replace of my small hatchet. It works great in my arm gets less tired overtime. It seems to be very durable and the group is nice so it doesn't slip out of your hand. I didn't know mine was coming with a black finish but I'm starting to like it more than the no finish

For the money an excellent knife!

A well-made, affordable, knife. It just goes to show you needn't spend $200.00 to get a quality product! It arrived in a timely fashion; and was razor-sharp right out of the box. The Jungle Bowie lives up to it's name! There's a-whole-lotta' knife here... "more of a short-sword too be exact!" A high quality leather sheath tops everything off. "I most certainly will buy from this knife dealer again!" (The knife is a little blade heavy; but that's not uncommon for Bowie knives in general).

great sharp knife

I bought this knife on a whim, actually. But it turned out to be a great product. It came with a fantastic sheath, razor sharp convex edge, and made with reliable 420HC stainless steel. It slashes through vines and brush like a hot knife through butter. The handle is very durable and comfortable(more suited for large hands though). And again, the sheath is great; I rigged mine with paracord and wear it over the shoulder. this a great knife for the price and I highly reccomend it.

great knife

this is an amazing knife. it is called the jungle bowie for good reason. for starters the handle is non slip and contured with a flare at the top and bottom, with a lanyard hole so you know you wont lose your grip. on top of that it is impact absorbent and comfortable to use for a long time. the blade is a quality stainless, and it is thin with a continuous belly to it so it slices wet foliage and vines vary well.it gets vary wet here and ive used it after storms to clear overgrown brush. anything green is cut easily even if its 2 inch thick limbs. the clip on the back is great for thin grass and vine having a hand scythe like effect. the blade isnt so long that you cant swing it in confind space (dense jungle or forest) and it is light enough that you can swing it quick and accuratly. the tip is thin and if your not careful can break, but it give the knife the ability to be used as an improvized hunting/gathering spear . and it can be used to defend your life if need be. it is non reflective witch would help with hunting/fighting (big pigsticker). the eye hole thows sparks from a ferro rod. ive used it to prossess wood but it hard to baton with because of the tip, it can be done carefully in a pinch but i dont recomend.the sheath is beautiful and works great, the swivle on the belt loop is a good touch. and mine has the sheath without the snap so when you take it out it makes no sound. i would not hesitate to take this to a jungle enviorment. it is vary well thought out,and i would buy again. can say enough good things.i want the jungle bowie 2 as well.

The supreme slasher

My favorite blade, hands down. The most comfortably handle ever for large hands, very grippy and ergonomic. I don't understand why more companies don't use Santoprene handles, they seem clearly superior to me in every way. But the blade is the highlight here, super sharp and effective at cutting and slashing softer materials. I would actually not be terrified to take on a bear or big cat with this knife, although that's an easier thing to say on the internet than deal with in person. A tremendous value at this price, I now have 2 in case I break a tip. Super nice and thick leather sheath of excellent quality.

Item was recently received, thus ratings based on first impressions. Overall good; some concern about durabiltiy of the thin blade, and the sheath (while of very thick leather) might be better in wet conditions if made of balllistic cloth with nylon insert. After significant use, my two concerns may go away. If you collect, this will be an interesting addition to your collection.
