Pros: Handle Material, Blade Material, Lock Ease of Use, Handle Feel, Overall Quality, Ease of Opening, Blade Sharpness
Great version of Kit Carson's classic M16. This CRKT example is manufactured in Taiwan to exacting tolerances. Blade bevels are are near perfect and comes very sharp. Very little touch up on the edge was required. Blade is centered in the frame. My older copies have a chisel grind while this model has a conventional edge. Opens flawlessly and fast. My favorite EDC right out of the box. AUS-8 blade steel is a very good mid grade blade steel. Sharpens easily and holds its edge fairly well. I think of it as Japanese version of 440C. A fairly large knife that rides well in the pocket not giving away its size. If you are a Carson fan, I suggest you get one of these while they are a available.
