Gerber E-Tool
This Gerber E-Tool appears to be very well made. It is somewhat heavy but that is due to the robust construction. The saw edge on the shovel is actually sharp and should be handled carefully. It is easy to deploy but initially it was quite stiff, a few drops of oil and that eased it up quite a bit. My only bone to pick is that the central shaft where the shovel head and pick are attached is made from aluminum. I would have preferred it to be made of steel. The aluminum shaft is heavy gauge and if it is 7000 series aluminum as advertised, then it should be quite strong. Also it does not come standard with a case. All in all a very well made tool that should last quite a while if used properly. I also commend Knife Center with their excellent service and prompt delivery.

Exactly what I was Looking for.
Survival 101, gotta have this. Super compact, lightweight ( for a sturdy foldeable shovel). I love showing it, people cant believe the transformation. Had to Sharpen one side of the blade for brush chopp'in. Would be off the charts if it had a sheath/belt side carry capable.

Great Shovel
This is a great sturdy shovel. Folds up nice and compact and it does its job well. A shovel is for digging, not throwing at a target or chopping down a tree. If you want to do that by a throwing axe!
