I have had this knife for over forty years. Purchased it in the 1960's. Still has balance and wonderful heft. I think I paid about $25 back then. I have never used it for hunting. It is a piece of art which I must clean up a bit.
I have had a Ka-Bar hunting knife for about 50 yrs. The quality of manufacturing and materials are outstanding. My recent purchases have been for collecting the whole Marine Hunter Line of their knives. Although now made in Taiwan, the quality is still embodied in the product.
Not sure now how I will use it....the blade has a high gloss mirror finish, which I was not expecting.....too nice to screw up actually. Almost better as a display knife. Very sharp and outstanding price/performance/quality.
