I'm a mechanic at a refractory and ive carried this for about 5 months now for small things its great just in case you dont have tools. And the hex bit holder under the screw is a great feature i carry spare bits in the nylon pouch with a small screwdriver and the bit extension perfect setup
This is the 2nd crunch I've bought, the 1st was...the year Leatherman introduced it to the market. I bought this one because I misplaced my 1st. The crunch has saved me on more than 1 or 2 occasions. Y'all should really pick one up.
I have owned the crunch for 5 years and it is the best pliers type multi tool i have seen. The locking ability allows you to take on jobs well beyond the capability of any other pocket tool. I have removed 1/2 inch rusted bolts with ease. The other tools are well made and do their jobs well. There may be bigger fancier tools but the one i carry is the Crunch.
I have used this tool for lots of random work fixes working in a 100+ year old building. Easily holds a sleeve of 1/4" torx bits for knife maintenance in the leather pouch (love this feature), dig the strap cutting blade as I carrya real knife in addition to this tool, doesn't suck to have something to cut gnarly sh-t while crabbing or striking a fire rod. Really fun to figure out how to open and close with one hand. One thing I would change are the wire cutters, make them replaceable carbide LM!! Great tool, does things other folding tools can't and I don't mind it not having 25 features as I never use half the stuff on my other LM tools.
Pros: Included Tools, Blade Material, Materials, Locking, Sheath/Scabbard, None
Cons: Finish, Handle Material, Overall Quality
great tool, mediocre handle quality
useful foldable pocket vise grip with some essential extra tools. Very powerful and tough grip on anything. for a leatherman tool, the overall quality is mediocre, as the handles tend to broke apart and the screws unloose if overstressed.
