Ya gotta love a LUDT
I don’t know about the rest of you folks out there, but I am delighted when I can buy first class American-made products. Well here you have one in the Microtech LUDT. I have a med. sized hand and this knife fits my hand perfectly with a great tactile feel and solid grip due to the molycoating and T6 handle shape. The S 30 V blade was razor sharp, and I mean SHARP right out of the box. The knife snaps opens with authority and locks up solidly with virtually no side-to-side play and near fixed-blade solidity. The release button sits within a raised portion of the handle and has about 1.5 mm of travel before the blade is released. It must be deliberately depressed flush with the handle in order to fire so it is virtually impossible to open this knife by accident. The fit and finish are excellent – I would have given it 5 stars except the three torx screws holding the pocket clip in place had small burrs on their heads so I am giving it 4.5 stars. This is a great tool, well worth the money and for anyone able to do so legally, will make a spectacular EDC knife. Whatever you ask of this knife, it will get the job done – with excellence.
