Fantastic tool

I've used the product mainly for leather work, but also for many fiddly jobs that need a pointed tool - nail cleaner, scratch awl, putting holes in tins to name but a few. The Ontario ice pick came quite sharp - I didn't need to sharpen it straight away, and in sharpening, I found the steel to be quite hard, so it seems they've got their heat treat right. Handle very comfortable, despite the simplicity. A really useful tool, and well worth the money. Get one - you'll find a use for it!

It is what it is....

...and it's an Old Hickory. You get what you'd expect. A very utilitarian design featuring carbon steel and wood handle. Nothing fancy but doesn't need to be. Some people complain about Old Hickory products rusting but c'mon...they're carbon steel and will rust without proper care. Don't leave 'em wet and they will last longer than you will.
