Pros: Overall Quality, Blade Sharpness, Handle Feel, Weight, Blade Material, None
Cons: Lock Type
Correction...non-locking the steel ring is pinned...
Belay the last review...this little guy doesn't lock open or closed....it's a friction folder...tant pis. It doesn't seem to have a way to tighten up...over time...it'll probably loosen up a bit...you can probably tighten it up a bit if you peen the little pin that holds the whole thing together. Otherwise it's good for desk duties....the blade is pretty well sunk into wood and won't open accidently. It's really no different than the other Opinels. It seems safe for very light cutting. I got the carbon steel one...it can cut cardboard...but the cardboard clamps down on the blade harder than the pin-pivot system so when you pull it out of the cardboard...make sure you push through if you have to saw....don't accidentally pull back.
