Combat weapon not a chopper
This is a nicely presented, simply designed product. It's a slicer, cutter and even a useful stabber (should one require it) but not an ideal chopper. The reason is that the handle is insufficiently cushioned for this work, even though the blade stands up to it easily. I chopped through a 2.5 in diam pine branch - the blade didn't require sharpening afterwards but the jarring could be felt in my hand. And pine is easy wood to cut. Manuka will be a different story but I'll try it some day. I think the weight is there, though. That's the only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars. But I like it immensely, even though it is more of a combat weapon than a camp knife.
