Pros: Blade Material, Handle Feel, Weight, Handle Material
Cons: Overall Quality, None
Missed it by "that much"... quality issues
Very sharp styling, an attractive knife design and shape. Appropriately sized for EDC use with nice flipping action BUT... the final, finely polished finish of the entire surface on one side of the blade was sub-par with surface scratches UNDERNEATH the "Screamer" and "F73 D2" printing on the blade. This had to come from the factory. In addition, the actual edge grind is irregular toward the tip of the blade. The manufacturer in China that built the knife did little to help the lingering expectation for sub- par work out of that country. I own many Taiwanese sourced knives (multiple brands and prices) that are consistently manufactured to a higher standard of quality control. The one Civivi that I own is of the same quality as my best Taiwanese made knives. Steel Will's manufacturer missed it with this specific knife (six sigma anyone?). I now own the single Steel Will brand knife that I will buy. I have no aversion to Chinese manufacturing I just expect more for a ~$60+ priced knife. I like the design of the knife enough to give it five stars for style, three stars for quality - four stars overall.
